I’m a librarian & folklorist based in the Northwest.
My professional experience began in folklife archives, digitizing open reel audio recordings of American folk music & ethnographic interviews from the 1940s – 1960s. Since then I’ve coordinated oral history projects, and produced podcasts & other content for the web. I have also led digitization efforts for public & academic libraries, local history museums & other cultural heritage organizations, and have trained professionals and volunteers in meeting national digitization standards, using best practices, and making informed copyright & permissions decisions through their own digital projects.
I currently work as an Adult Services Librarian for a large public library cooperative.
